Furlough Reduction for Faculty and Staff
On April 16, 2021, campus leadership announced a change to the employee furlough program originally implemented in January 2021 (Round Two of Campus-wide, Intermittent Furlough). Furlough obligations will be reduced by one day (8-hour equivalent) for all faculty and staff. This change is intended to provide some financial relief to employees, and is being made in response to updated information about the university’s fiscal outlook. Employees have been participating in the furlough program in different ways, and the appropriate adjustments need to be made for each circumstance. Employees will receive additional details from the human resources office at their school, college, or division in the coming weeks.
