Karcher named director of risk management
Jeff Karcher, director of risk management at UW- Stevens Point, has been selected as the new director of the risk management at UW-Madison. Karcher has more than 20 years of experience in risk management, environmental health and safety, and compliance in both the public and private sectors. The Office of Risk Management manages UW-Madison’s participation in the State of Wisconsin’s self-funded Workers Compensation, Property and Liability insurance programs. Additionally, the office processes insurance claims and identifies, evaluates and controls loss exposure. Karcher started Sept. 12.
