New learning module explores data governance and responsible use
A new learning resource for employees, Data@UW – Data Governance and Responsible Use, provides information on how to protect the institutional data that employees collect and/or use every day. Many employees work with institutional data such as student information, paper copies of benefits elections, utility maps of campus buildings, or digital databases accessed remotely. The 30-minute, self-paced module explores the use and protection of institutional data across UW–Madison’s worksites, and helps employees understand their individual responsibilities. This employee learning module is a collaboration between Data, Academic Planning, and Institutional Research (DAPIR) and Learning and Talent Development.
