Tips to stay healthy during the holidays
You’ve worked hard on your routine. Along with plenty of exercise and sleep, you plan your meals and eat a filling breakfast, nutritious lunch, healthy snacks and a sensible dinner. But how do you stay on track during holidays and special occasions – from Thanksgiving and Christmas, to summer picnics and birthdays – and not lose the progress you’ve already made? UW Health offers some tips, including not showing up overly hungry at holiday parties and sneaking in some exercise first. Be careful not to eat too many desserts and hors d’oeuvres, and don’t be afraid to say no to seconds.
