Title IX Coordinator finalists to make campus presentations
The Office of Compliance invites the university community to attend presentations by the finalists for the UW-Madison Title IX Coordinator position. Title IX (“title nine”) is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. Each finalist will provide a 30-minute presentation on the basics of Title IX as it applies to higher education, followed by a 15-minute audience Q&A. Nicholas Oleksy, Title IX investigator, University Equity and Civil Rights Compliance, Ohio University, will present from 12:30-1:15 p.m., April 11 in Bascom Room 55. Lauren Hasselbacher, Senior investigator, Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance, University of Colorado Boulder, will present from 12:30-1:15 p.m. April 12 in Bascom Room 55.
