The UW‒Madison Police Department (UWPD) has officially launched BadgerSAFE, a safety app that aims to keep the campus community informed and provide quick access to safety-related resources. The Friend Walk feature allows you to send your location in real time to a friend or family member, so they can track you as you walk to your destination. The “I’m OK” feature sends your location and a message to a recipient of your choice letting them know that you’re OK. The app also offers off-campus emergency alerts and the ability to call or text a UWPD Dispatcher in a non-emergency situation.
